What's the deal with Rainbow Row?

Rainbow Row is one of Charleson's most iconic and visited spots. You will see paintings, postcards, and even T-shirts with the image of these cute houses. Rainbow Row is the name for the colorful houses along East Bay Street in Charleston, South Carolina. They are the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States. In the 1930s and 1940s, the houses were restored and painted in pastel colors inspired by Charleston's Caribbean roots.
