The palmetto tree symbolized Colonel Moultrie's heroic defense of the palmetto-log fort on Sullivan's Island against the attack of the British fleet on June 28, 1776.

About the Art:

This palmetto tree magnet is made from 14" gauge recycled steel. It has been rusted to enhance the contours and shapes of a piece. No two pieces are ever the same, (so yours is one of a kind!), and variations in color and texture add to the overall character of the magnet. 

The Pineapple measures 4” tall by 2” wide and has a strong magnet glued to the back.
