Octopus Key holder

Octopus Key holder

$95.00

Fun Fishy Fact:

Octopuses are some of the only intelligent animals that have been observed using tools like chimpanzees and dolphins. An octopus can change its color very fast. In just three-tenths of a second, they can mimic specific undersea objects like seaweed or rocks to disappear into the background!

 About the Art:

Working with mostly 14-16 gauge raw steel, Fred cuts, and welds the metal to create sea life, bringing an aquatic feel to homes, offices, and gardens. He often begins the rusting process to give a more weathered appearance and to enhance the contours and shapes of a piece. No two pieces are ever the same, (so yours is one of a kind!), and variations in color and texture add to the overall character of his work. The octopus is suitable for use both inside and outdoors. If displayed outdoors, the octopus will continue to rust beautifully in the elements; but If you wish to reduce further rusting, we suggest applying a clear mat lacquer which will need to be reapplied over time.  We all know octopus can swim in any direction, and if you have a preference whether he will be swimming left to right, or right to left, please email or leave in the comments section at checkout with your order.

Sizing:

The Octopus is 18 inches long and 10” tall at its longest and tallest points. It weighs almost 2 pounds.

The Octopus keyholder is the same size but comes with 3 designated key hooks and many of the tentacles can be used as keyholders too!
